Letter to the Participants
Dear Explorers,
It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to Kontigence – Cicada 6602.
It is one thing to merely be curious and another to follow through with this curiosity- to stick with puzzles until you solve them. The world’s greatest thinkers are all people who have the determination to stick with questions long enough to answer them. Einstein is believed to have put it rather well, ‘It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.’
There’s nothing like the feeling of accomplishment when you finally solve a puzzle after hours and hours of work. In a world where not every question has an answer, finding puzzles that do has become more comforting than ever before. Cicada 2.0 is a chance for you to solve as many puzzles as you can, as quickly as you can.
In this unique event, you will work with your team to follow a trail of puzzles, ciphers and cryptograms scattered across the internet. The goal is to get to the end first. The event will span across two days and it’ll be a test of your wit.
Join us as we set up the greatest intellectual obstacle course you’ve encountered yet.

Team Kontigence
Guidelines
The participants would be registering for this event in teams of two to four members. A team name will be required during registration.
All teams would be given certain starting instructions based on which they can take one of multiple routes to the final destination.
The event will comprise of a series of mind-bending puzzles and riddles which teams will have 2 days to solve. The first team to reach the final destination wins. If no team is able to reach the final destination within the given time, then moderators will extend the time based on their analysis of the participants performance.
We encourage interaction between the teams and will be setting up a discord server for the same. All clues will also be released on the discord server. In the spirit of healthy competition, we request you to not post answers to the puzzles on public channels. Such messages may be deleted and the sender removed from public channels. Please cooperate with the moderators who are working to ensure the integrity of the competition.
All teams are allowed to ask the moderators for one clue. If the moderators see that a certain puzzle is proving to be too difficult for all the participants, they may give additional hints. This is completely at the moderator’s discretion.
Absolutely no knowledge of programming will be required for this event. However, knowledge of ciphers may come in handy.
