Letter to the Participants
Dear Gamers,
It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to Kontigence.
In the stressed file life of today, with global pandemics and possibilities of world wars surrounding us, it is okay to take a break. To pick up your controller and roam through deserted establishments, ridding the world of evils. Gaming is a competition to some, and to some, it is a feeling, of being able to do anything. We invite everyone, to participate in the gaming showdown of your lifetime.
Today, you can just pick up your controller or log into your Steam account to be a hero - and do so by staying at home, self-quarantined, to be safe. We call all heroes- with or without capes, to game on, to infinity and beyond.
We provide you with an avenue to utilise your hand-eye coordination to express yourself in an inspiring manner using video games. Using a number of metrics and games, the highest scorer takes the title of Kontigence’s Greatest Gamer, and a lot of added satisfaction.

Team Kontigence
General Guidelines
The player allocation for the stages will be based on the order of registration, and accordingly the time scheduling will be shared with all participants.
If any form of hacking or other unethical actions are detected, you will be instantly disqualified from all Kontigence events, and your institution will be notified about your lack of integrity.
This year, Kontigence is offering participants the choice of both the individual competition, for which no unauthorized teaming is permitted, and the team competition, for which people compete in pairs to become the best overall group. All participants must download the games themselves through any reliable medium of their choice. It is expected that everyone will have compared their computer’s specifications and ensured they are sufficient to run the games.
The individual rankings for each round will be shared along with all participants. The participant with the highest total points across each event will be declared as the Kontigence Greatest Gamer Champion.
Meanwhile, the group championship is dependent on the performance of both players across all rounds. The team with the highest total points across each event will be declared as the Kontigence Greatest Gamer Team Champions.
Round 1: CSGO
Can you prove yourself to be the best at tactical strategies and marksmanship? This globally recognized game is available for free on the steam store. Server details will be shared with the participants in advance. Points will be allocated based on the number of kills in a limited time free for all, and each player gets one chance to play in an official match, so prepare well.
Round 2: Rocket League
As one of the most successful and creative innovations in gaming, you will find yourself playing football with rocket-powered cars. Take to the skies and outdrive your opponents on your way to racing and sporting glory! This heavily praised game can be found for free on the epic games store. Depending on the number of teams or participants, It will be hosted in either a round-robin or tournament layout, with points accordingly distributed based on the wins and goal differential.
Round 3: Brawlhalla
This game is based on the massively popular concept of super smash bros. It is also available for free on the steam store. Server room details will be shared with the participants in advanced. The gamemode will be classic last man standing, with 2 lives per competitor and a limited time of 10 minutes per round. All participants will get one chance to play in an official match, and points will be allocated on the basis of rank and knockouts.
Round 4: Minecraft
There is no explanation needed for perhaps what is the most impactful and world-renowned game of all time. Become a master of survival as you rush to find resources whilst battling other players and mobs in this blocky world. The structure of the contest will be akin to a hunger games (or bed wars) competition where the last player or team standing wins the biggest points!
Round 5: Wildcard
The final round will be a mystery game which will only be announced when the competition begins, as a surprise. It will also be free and available on steam, but will differ from the themes of the other games.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive
Points will be allocated based on number of kills in a limited time.
Rocket League
Points are awarded based on goals.
Brawlhalla
Points are awarded based on number of kills and knockout rank.
Minecraft
Points are awarded based on kills, survival and knockout rank
Wildcard
This round is a mystery game, and will be declared in the aftermath of Round 4.
Results
Results for the event will be processed and released.
